Sussex PCC questions Chief Constable over policing operation in Balcombe
Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner, Katy Bourne, will question Chief Constable Martin Richards about the police response to the protest in Balcombe during a meeting this Friday 6 September, which will be webcast live.
Commenting ahead of the meeting, Katy Bourne said: “It is my role to hold the Chief Constable to account on behalf of the public. I have received several questions from residents about the policing operation in Balcombe and, as a result, I will be addressing these issues during an accountability meeting with the Chief Constable this Friday 6 September. The meeting will be webcast live at 9am on my website: http://www.sussex-pcc.gov.uk/get-involved/webcasting/ and will provide the public with an opportunity to see me put their questions directly to the Chief Constable and hear them being answered.”
A recording of the webcast will be available to view online shortly after the meeting on Friday.
